Chapter 2: Artisan Lungs
I decided to start making just big posts of Chapter 2 and 3 since I already finished those two chapters and had them solved. Hopefully I can go back to delayed posts for future chapters.
Motive: Gassed Up
"Multiple gasses are going to be released into the building until a murder happens. The following gasses shall be listed below." Ita Tene said as she pointed to a screen.
- Sleeping Gas
- Adrenaline Gas
- Serotonin Gas
"These gasses will not be in any way concentrated enough to cause irreparable harm due to our excellent ventilation system. In fact, I would recommend you all to not try to escape through the vents as that is also how we administer the gasses, and if you were to go through the vents, there is a high likelyhood you are exposed to a dangerous amount of chemicals." Ita Tene stated, shutting down a method of escape that the group had been trying to use.
Case File: Case of the Lonely Farmer
Motive:
- Three different gasses were being inserted into the building (Sleeping, Adrenaline, and Serotonin)
- These gasses were spread through the ventilation system and said system also was used to make sure that the gasses did not reach a lethal level.
- Only one gas should be present in a room at a time.
Body Discovery:
- The body was found in the SHSL's Farmer lab
- Mocca seemed to be grasping at their throat
Oversteeped Gossip:
- Victime: Mocca
- Location of death is Mocca's Lab
- Cause of death is an overdose
- Time of death is 7:45 p.m.
- Other Wounds: There seem to be no other wounds
Events:
June's Arm Wrestling Competition
- June has categories of everyone's strength
Linda's malnutrition.
- People who picked the nurse's office have more info on this.
Lucijan's Death
- Lucijan died on Tuesday to an overdose
Fire!!
- A fire started on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
Accounts:
- Mocca said publicly that they haven't been able to get in their lab in a while at the start of the week.
- Linda say Aria put out the fire
- 3 accounts (June, Lucy, and Aria) are rather relevant and you should probably ask them about stuff.
Alibis:
- Lucy has been trying to get Felicity out of their room, but she refused. She’s been holed up there and has not left unless for food.
- Akikazu was investigating the 'Admin' lab. There is camera footage of him there. (Linda set up a camera in that room so they could track people who grab weapons) (7:34-8:12)
- June, Arden, Cindy, Hamonia, Lucy, Sterling, Tuija, and Vincent were in the auditorium. (7:45-8:20)
- Koumei and Felice were gambling in Koumei's lab. (6:25-8:40)
- Lyra was conversing with Logan (7:35-8:20)
Evidence:
- There are a lot of shattered pots and the plants in the lab are all dead.
- An oxygen mask from the previous motive was found
- The door to the Farmer's Lab seemed to have some sticky residue on it
- Match sticks that don't seem to be located anywhere else in the building. (Must have been on someone's body when kidnapped)
- A piece of string leading from the band hall to the auditorium that seemed to be laced in alcohol.
- Scorch marks in the band hall. There are three isolated ones with one of the three seeming to be from an explosion.

Aria's Account
- You smelled smoke and went to investigate
- It seemed to be coming from a rope that was on fire which you quickly put out.

- Also, when investigating the band hall, you smelt some burnt rubber. Maybe someone's oxygen mask was present when the fire started?
- You also smelled alcohol in Mocca's lab near the entrance.
June's Account
- Now that you think of it, that metal sound you heard in the middle of the night was definitely on the first floor. It seemed to be coming from the area that the labs were.
...maybe, it did come from one of the labs.
Lucy's Account
- Before heading upstairs to the Auditorium, you talked to Mocca who said that they would try to get into their lab again before heading up to the Auditorium.
- You noted that the vent in Mocca's lab didn't seem to be screwed on correctly. Someone with average human stregth should have been able to do it easily.
Nurse's Office
- Linda has been staying there most of the week and hasn't returned to her room
> - She once noted that she left her notebook in there with her analysis on everyone.
- Cucumber's and Linda's oxygen masks are unusable due to how much Linda has had to rely on them
- Cindy, Cucumber, Harmonia, Lucy, and Rekka have all been in and out of the Nurse's office.

Closing Arguments
"I-I could have died!!" Tuija said in a panicked state. "Why would you do this Rekka?"
"It isn't me." The firework maker said.
"What do you mean? You were one of the few people without an alibi?!"
"Aria, Cucumber, Kyoka, Linda and Lucille don't have alibis. You'll have to try harder than that Snowflake."
"W-Well... Aria stopped the fire, Cucumber and Linda were in the Nurse's Office most of the time, and Kyoka and Lucille didn't know about Linda's book!!" Tuija managed to say. "P-Plus, the dorms aren't soundproof like the band hall was, so your account is an obvious lie."
"Hm... alright, I guess you can say that you got me."
Tuija let out a sigh of relief as she began to do the closing arguement.
Act 1: T-The case started off with Rekka experimenting with gasses in the Band Hall. Due to the soundproof nature nobody cou-
"I'll stop you there. You're taking to long." Rekka said as she began to do her own closing arguement.
Act 1: I was experimenting with the motive in the Band Hall. After I left, Lucijan walked in and died which would have drew attention to where I was experimenting, so I moved the body to her lab.
Act 2: I sent letters to everyone using Linda's book she left in her room as a sort of way to frame her which sadly didn't work. I also made sure to ask Ita Tene to put Serotonin in the Auditorium.
Act 3: I set up a piece of rope to remotely light up the Auditorium from the Band Hall. Sadly, Aria stopped the fire before it could reach it's destination.
"That noise I heard on Tuesday night, that was you messing with the vent wasn't it Lucille!!" Juse said as he pointed at the SHSL Aristocrat.
"Pardon moui? I see no reason it could possibly be me." Lucille said defensively.
"No, it has to be you. When we look at the evidence, there are multiple clues that point to it being you."
"And what could that be? There are multiple possibilities here." She asked, getting ready to defend herself.
"For one, you are one of the weakest people here. Lucy mentioned that the vent wasn't really screwed on that tightly which could line up with you performed very poorly in my arm wrestling contest." June said as he started to present his evidence. He couldn't let her escape now.
"So? There are other people who are rather weak like Akikazu or Felicity. These leaps in logic are rather large to be used as conclusive evidence."
"Then what about using wine to dissolve the superglue you used to seal Mocca's lab? We are highschoolers not everyone here knows much about alcohol, but someone with your talent and background must have known at least something about alcoholic drinks and their properties." June pointed out.
"What about Aria, Cucumber, or Linda. They all seem to be knowledgable about such a reaction? Aria was the one who easily noticed it, Cucumber must have had access to rubbing alcohol, and Linda studies a lot to make sure that each of their stories is factually correct. Plus, there are many other people I've talked to that also know about these properties!" Lucille said as she diverted the suspicion to others.
"Aria has a decent muscle mass so she could have easily tightly screwed on the vent. Cucumber's oxygen mask broke due to how much she used it to help out other people. Linda is noticeably susceptible to the effect of the sleeping gas and was in the nurse's office most days. Also, most of the other people have alibis like Felicity locking themselves in their room or everyone who was lured into the auditorium." Arden said. "If you want to point suspicion at someone else, you'll have to be more cunning than that."
"What about Rekka? They used alcohol on the rope to make sure that it burned."
"Rekka already had her own separate plan in which she wanted to... kill us all." Tuija chimed in.
"Yes, in fact that's where most of the alibis come from. It's unfortunate that you both executed your plans on the same day. Now, time for the closing argument."
Act 1: After seeing Lucijan die, Lucille probably got their own plan to escape. She first put on her oxygen mask and got to work in Mocca's lab messing with the ventilation to increase the gas production. Though, due to her lack of muscle mass, she dropped the vent grate once and also wasn't able to screw it on back properly. She then sealed the lab with superglue to let it build up.
Act 2: Due to her background, Lucille knew that alcohol breaks down superglue. She dissolved the superglue with a glass of wine she snuck out of the kitchen since Lucijan wasn't occupying it 24/7 anymore. With the superglue dissolved, Mocca re-entered her lab. Lucille then shut the door and barricaded it not letting Mocca escape as she suffocated.
Execution Title: Aristocratic Indulgences
Lucille SHSL Aristocrat: Executed
Lucille is placed in front of a long table all alone. Around her, robotic maids and butlers moved around with golden platters.
The true execution started when a few robots sat at the table with her. The butlers and maids, who were originally just orbiting the table, began to lay expensive dish after dish of food onto the table filling it to the brim.
Lucille was then grabbed by some of the robots and was guided to eat dish after dish of food and only drown it in wine.
Throughout the whole process, Lucille kept struggling to break free of their hold and flee, but the aristocrat was far too weak to break free.
To add insult to injury, two of the robots at the table then decided to leave. She was then alone in her cries as she was forced to drink yet another glass of wine.
After consuming that glass of wine, she felt her body burn up as she kept struggling as a poison coursed through her veins. Finally, Lucille's body collapsed as many more robots dragged her out.
An official autopsy is shown with the cause of death being 'alcohol overdose'.
